Other Bacterial Infections
Dependent upon type of bacterial
infection. See your Avian
Veterinarian for cultures and
sensitivity testing.
There are far too many types of bacterial infection to
place a single medication here. Bacterial infection
symptoms may present as any of the other
symptoms listed here.  Veterinarian diagnosis is the
only sure way to know which bacterial infection you
are dealing with.
Cryptosporidium
Azithromycin, Paromomycin,
Nitazoxanide
Protozoal type infection with oocysts resembling
coccidia. Usually only found in birds who've been
offered water contaminated by farm animals feces
(ground water, well water). Neon green to
yellow-green droppings. Constant diarrhea, weight
loss, increased thirst, neurological symptoms when
bird is near death. Very difficult to diagnose.
Typically by the time it is detected, the bird is
beyond saving.
